Meet Ms. Byman

Hello!

 

My name is Ms. Byman, and I am thrilled to be the Technology Teacher at both Bergen Boulevard School and Shaler Academy. I have been teaching for over 30 years, and this is my 20th year in this wonderful Ridgefield School District. I love sharing my passion for Technology with these 21st-century learners, as I guide them in developing digital literacy skills while helping them increase their creative thinking and problem-solving skills. 

 

I earned my B.A. from Cornell University and my M.A. from Columbia University Teachers College. My teaching philosophy has always been to create a supportive, collaborative, hands-on environment where we can all learn from one another. As technology is always changing, our Technology class is an exciting place to be!  

 

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with my family. This summer, my family traveled to Chile to ski the Andes Mountains. My other favorite sport is soccer, and Mbappe is my favorite player. One of my favorite sports memories is seeing the U.S. Women's team win the World Cup semi-final in 2015, and I hope to see a Men's World Cup game right here in New Jersey next year.  

 

I teach at Shaler Academy on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and I am at Bergen Boulevard on Thursdays and Fridays.
