2nd Grade Teacher at Bergen Boulevard School

Hello! My name is Mrs. Pietropinto and I am so happy to be a Second Grade teacher at Bergen Boulevard School. This is my fifth year at Bergen Boulevard but my thirteenth year teaching on the elementary level. I have taught kindergarten, second, and fourth grade. My love for second grade started during my student teaching experience and kept growing ever since. I am very excited to begin this new school year and watch the students learn and grow everyday.

I graduated from Montclair State University with a B.A. in Family and Child Studies with a concentration in School Settings in grades K-6. I currently hold a NJ Standard Certificate for grades K-6.

It is my belief that children are unique individuals who need school to grow and develop emotionally, intellectually, and socially. I feel creating a safe and welcoming environment in the classroom is key to making the students feel comfortable and eager to learn. Every student has their own method of learning which is why I believe it is so important to incorporate many different learning styles in the delivery of a lesson.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being outside in nature, cooking, and being at the beach.
